The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement. A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), the International Sports Federations (IFs), Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Media Rights-Holders. It also works with public and private authorities, including the United Nations and other international organisations.  

 

For the role of Senior Partnership Business Development Manager, we are looking for an experienced sales professional with a strong background in sports and entertainment partnerships. The ideal profile will bring expertise in leveraging commercial data, audience insights, digital marketing, and technology to identify and develop strategic partnership opportunities. They will play a key role in driving the growth and long-term success of the Olympic Partners (TOP) Programme while delivering value for our partners. Supporting the IOC's mission to build a better world through sport, the successful candidate will identify, develop and secure new commercial partnerships across industries, working with some of the world's leading brands, they will create insight-driven partnership solutions that leverage the global reach, values and digital capabilities of the Olympic Movement.

 

What you will do

  • Lead the end-to-end sales process for new Olympic commercial partnerships, from prospect identification and qualification through to negotiation and contract execution.
  • Build and develop relationships with senior decision-makers across priority global organisations and strategic sectors.
  • Develop tailored partnership propositions aligned with partners' business objectives, marketing priorities and growth ambitions.
  • Deliver against commercial revenue objectives and business development targets.
  • Create innovative partnership solutions integrating Olympic rights, content, digital assets and fan engagement opportunities.
  • Leverage market intelligence, industry insights and commercial trends to identify new partnership opportunities and emerging categories.
  • Lead large-scale, complex partnership negotiations and contribute to the structuring of high-value commercial agreements.
  • Lead and support strategic business development projects, priority growth markets and selected commercial initiatives.
  • Collaborate with IOC departments, OCOGs, external agencies and stakeholders across the Olympic Movement to maximise the commercial value of Olympic partnerships.

 

What we are looking for 

  • Proven experience in sponsorship sales, partnership development, strategic business development or commercial partnerships.
  • Strong track record of securing high-value commercial agreements and delivering against ambitious revenue targets.
  • Experience working with global brands and engaging senior executive stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the data tools used to enable effective data collaboration between rights holders and partners, driving insights and creating value for partner organisations.
  • Solid knowledge of digital marketing, brand activation, content ecosystems and audience engagement strategies.
  • Ability to read, interpret and present data-driven insights in a commercially persuasive manner.
  • Familiarity with data tools used in sports and media partnerships (e.g. audience segmentation, digital performance dashboards, data clean room and fan engagement analytics).
  • Exceptional commercial acumen, negotiation skills and relationship-building capabilities.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a compelling and persuasive manner.
  • Experience operating in international and multi-stakeholder environments.
  • Fluency in English or French, with excellent command of the other language.
  • Experience within global sport, media, entertainment or international organisations would be an advantage.
