The International Olympic Committee is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement.
A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees, the International Federations, Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Olympic broadcast partners. It also collaborates with public and private authorities including the United Nations and other international organisations.
About the role:
As the Sports Data Specialist, you will Support Olympic Programme and Sports Data Manager with the review and analysis of the Olympic Programme and other sports data projects through the collection, management, and governance of data. You will also Ensure information is treated as a strategic asset by implementing consistent information practices that enhance decision-making, strengthen engagement with International Federations, and enable future digital and AI-driven capabilities.
Your responsibilities:
- Support the collection, integration and analysis of data and key performance indicators relating to sport and the Olympic Programme.
- Clean and validate data from internal and external sources, ensuring accuracy, consistency and integrity.
- Collaborate with IOC functional areas and external partners to expand and enhance sport-related datasets, while defining, prioritising and delivering improvements to data architecture, storage, reporting capabilities and analytical insights.
- Identify and recommend improvements to data collection, governance and information management processes, supporting their effective implementation.
- Maintain a strong end-user focus, ensuring data, reporting tools and insights effectively support the needs of International Federations, Organising Committees and IOC decision-making bodies.
- Contribute to the evolution of digital and data solutions, including relevant AI-enabled capabilities, that strengthen Olympic Programme analysis, reporting and evidence-based decision-making.
- Support the team in the preparation of presentations, reports or data visualisations for meetings and workshops.
- Manage team project tracking tools.
Our requirements

- University degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (e.g. Information Management, Business Analysis, data science Information systems or a related discipline).
- Five or more years of relevant professional experience
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g. TOGAF, DAMA, CBAP or equivalent) would be an advantage
- Experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and data visualisation, would be advantageous.
- Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
- Strong digital literacy, including experience with planning tools, collaboration platforms and structured information management. Familiarity with enterprise applications, digital products and AI-enabled tools would be an advantage.
