The International Olympic Committee is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement.
A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees, the International Federations, Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Olympic broadcast partners. It also collaborates with public and private authorities including the United Nations and other international organisations.
About the role:
As the Trainee within the Olympic Movement Unit on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions (OM Unit PMC), you will help support initiatives that protect the integrity of sport across the world. This is a hands-on role offering an opportunity to contribute to awareness-raising campaigns, stakeholder engagement, event operations, regulatory compliance and communication activities that support athletes, sports organisations, and competition officials on the Road to LA2028 and beyond.
We are looking for a motivated and organised individual with an interest in sport, communications, events, and integrity. Whether your background is in project coordination, event operations, communications, international relations, education, law, or sport management, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects and develop valuable professional experience.
Your responsibilities:
Event Operations & Project Support

- Support the coordination and implementation of awareness-raising activities and stakeholder engagement initiatives at qualification events and other major sporting events.
- Assist in the planning, delivery and follow-up of workshops, seminars, forums and awareness-raising activities organized by the Unit.
- Coordinate logistics, schedules, materials and stakeholder communications for meeting and events.
- Support the implementation of the Unit’s strategy and annual activities.
- Provide day-to-day administrative and project support to the Unit.

Communications & Awareness Raising
- Support outreach activities targeting athletes, entourage members, competition officials and sport organisations.
- Create and coordinate engaging content for digital communication channels and campaigns.
- Assist in strengthening the digital presence of the IOC’s Believe in Sport campaign through communication planning, content creation and stakeholder engagement.
- Develop and maintain presentations, educational resources and content hubs including SharePoint.
- Assist with delivery of awareness-raising sessions, both online and in person.
Regulations & Stakeholder Management
- Support engagement with National Olympic Committees, International Federations, and event organizers on initiatives related to the prevention of the manipulation of competitions.
- Contribute to legal and compliance support activities related to the Olympic Movement Code on the Prevention of the Manipulation of Competitions.
- Assist with monitoring and tracking of stakeholder projects and activities.
- Maintain databases, records, and reporting tools used by the Unit.
- Provide support to other projects and activities within the Ethics & Compliance Department, as required.
Intelligence & Investigations Support
- Support the collection, review and data entry of open-source information, betting information and relevant case-data to assist ongoing information and intelligence activities and databases linked to the prevention of competition manipulation.
- Assist with the monitoring of relevant sports integrity developments, case alerts and publicly available information, contributing to the preparation of concise case summaries for internal use.
Our requirements
- Recently graduated with Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Excellent written and verbal command of English. Knowledge of additional languages would be an asset.
- Experience with digital communications, campaign management, or social media content creation.
- Experience in event operations, project coordination, communications, or a related field.
- Experience within the sport sector, NGOs, international organizations, or educational initiatives.
- Exposure to integrity-related topics such as ethics, governance, safeguarding, anti-doping, or competition manipulation.
- Keen sense of priorities to ensure efficient management of projects and deliverables.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in writing and ability to solve problems creatively.
- Ability to consider interpersonal differences as a source of added value and interact constructively with all kinds of people.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint Sharepoint and Outlook)
