The International Olympic Committee is the guardian of the Olympic Games and the leader of the Olympic Movement.
A truly global organisation, it acts as a catalyst for collaboration between all Olympic stakeholders, including the athletes, the National Olympic Committees, the International Federations, Organising Committees for the Olympic Games, the Worldwide Olympic Partners and Olympic broadcast partners. About the role:
As the Retail Operations and Development Specialist you will be responsible for maintaining business continuity of the Olympic Museum Shop retail operations, under the supervision of the Senior Olympic Museum Shop Manager, ensuring high-quality visitor experience.
Your responsibilities:
Retail and shop coordination

Coordinating Olympic Museum Shop operations (product range, display and promotion) in cooperation with the Client Services teams;

Analysing and monitoring inventory;

Monitoring product performance (sell-through, product turnover and other performance indicators).
Purchasing and supplier follow-up

Liaising with suppliers;
-
Tracking orders (purchase orders);
-
Coordinating with the Procurement, Finance and Logistics teams;

Monitoring costs and product mark-up.
Product development
-
Devising new products;
-
Collaborating and coordinating with Television & Marketing Services (TMS) (adherence to the merchandising /style guides, etc.);

Maintaining operational oversight of product development (from approval to production);

Coordinating with suppliers (briefings, follow-up and approval);

Managing restocking;
-
Following up on lead times and deliveries with the logistics team.
Product information and cataloguing

Updating the product catalogue: product photos, pre-production visuals, etc;

Maintaining the quality of the item specification database (descriptions and key information (customs codes, stock keeping units, etc.)).
Our requirements:

Degree in Business, Retail Management or a related field, combined with relevant experience in product development, merchandising, retail, licensing or consumer products.

Native French speaker with professional proficiency in English.

Experience coordinating suppliers and managing projects or products across different stakeholders and workstreams.

Strong commercial awareness, with an understanding of product development, retail operations, merchandising, and brand-related considerations.

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Proactive, adaptable, and collaborative, with strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners.

Digitally savvy, with advanced Excel skills and confidence using collaborative and business tools; experience with Adobe Illustrator, SAP, Power BI or product information management systems would be considered an asset.
